In order for this organization to reach the millions of individuals and alternative health practitioners who need representation, it needs volunteers to act as ministers in their area and circle of influence. Becoming a minister is as simple as expressing the desire to be one. However, for the purpose of satisfying the requirements of a recognized church in the United States, there are specific responsibilities that a minister must agree to uphold. Please review them and feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns. In the near future, there will be a form on this page that can be completed by those requesting initiation as ministers of the Temple of Hygieia. For now, simply send us an email via the contact link to the left, stating your name, location, and what you have to offer this society as a minister. Requests will be processed promptly and you will be ready to begin your ministry immediately.

Ministerial requirements

* Educational Outreach: Ministers must commit to actively promoting the Temple of Hygieia in their region and on the internet. Regional outreach should include distribution of provided materials (flyers, brochures, tracts, cards, etc.) and be targeted to individual & group alternative health care providers in a variety of disciplines, as well as personal acquaintances who align with the society's mission. Internet outreach may include posting the link to this website in relevant forums, networking sites and via direct email to targeted recipients. Use of the Temple of Hygieia banner (at the top of this page) is permitted and encouraged. Availability & allocation of funds for the outreach program will be discussed upon confirmation of ministry.

Regular meetings: Ministers must be willing and able to lead regular services for their local congregation--this is a requirement of a recognized church. However, the service may take place anywhere, with any number of participants, and there is great flexibility in the fulfillment of this aspect of ministry. For example, a weekly or monthly potluck or luncheon, group meditation or discussion may qualify. Details on this aspect of ministry are still being researched so please return to this page frequently for updates.

Sharing resources: Ministers must agree to submit to the website any relevant information gathered from their congregation for the purpose of sharing resources with all national members.

* Individual members are also free to participate in the educational outreach program, without becoming ministers.*

Temple of Hygieia Priesthood

Priests and Priestesses of the Temple are given the honor and power of guiding members of the society in their healing process. This is an individual ministry that may be carried out in a multitude of ways including, but not limited to: Alternative medicine (Naturopathy, Homeopathy, Herbal & Nutritional medicine), Physical, Vibrational or Energetic Healing (such as Massage or Gemstone Therapy, Reiki, Body Wisdom & Tantric Education), Spiritual/Shamanic Counseling, Divination Science & Angelic Guidance.

Priests and Priestesses must be ordained by the Temple High Priestess before practicing under the Temple of Hygieia. However, existing practice of the above is automatically absorbed and sheltered by the entity of the Temple & requires only proof of practice or license. Should any member of this society ever be prevented from accessing the alternative therapy of their choice by outside authorities, the Temple priesthood should be equipped and prepared to treat that individual. The Temple of Hygieia assumes religious immunity to Federal alternative medicine regulations and authorizes access to Complementary Medicine by our ordained Priests and Priestesses.

To be ordained as an active Priest or Priestess within the Temple of Hygieia society, please use the email address given on the contact page. Provide your full name, location, occupation and credentials. Again, there will soon be a form on this page to manage this information.
